Alaska Outdoor Journal
The original homestead cabin was built out of spruce trees, peat bog, whale fat, baleen, sinew, grouse feathers, snowshoe rabbit hides, clam shells, fish scales, moss, lichen, and windows I'd find at other building sites around the peninsula, and I paid for the hand pump with money I got from the welfare checks I'd con off the locals for a fifth of my Alaska renowned Fireweed Moonshine. They'd trade the checks two days before they could cash them (so, I gave them 30 cents on the dollar, and the moonshine cost them half of that  - I knew how to make a buck then, just as good as I know how to spend one now)!
I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
